This has to be one of the most boring days ever. My Sundays usually are, though, 'cause i am at work, all
alone, for 12 hours. My department is staffed 24/7 so, to have the sched i want during the week, i have to suffer on Sunday. At least i'm off Friday & Saturday ~ that's a bonus.
Let me see . . . what have i done since the last time i checked in with you? Well, on Friday i had to work since i didn't come in Wednesday, but i didn't mind 'cause our departmental party was on Friday and it was cool. We ate Olive Garden while we went around the room opening our Secret Santa gifts and telling who we would have dinner with (dead or alive) if we could. i chose, John Malkovitch (i know it's sick, but i find him extremely sexy), Sean Connery (i don't CARE how old he is!, Angelina Jolie (i can't breathe, i can't breathe!), my dead Grandfather (i just miss him, OK?), my Gramma Jane (so she can see him, too), and Trent Reznor (i hear he's kinda geeky, but i love the music). i think i pulled the perfect blends of insanity, intelligence, and beauty. i mean, it's only a dinner party! i got a weird stuffed frog that velcros his arms & legs around things, Lit ~ "A Place In the Sun", and an address book that is black with a blue fuzzy leopard-print "M" on the front. Kinda funky there but i like them. Frogget is watching over Nell & Bob, the two little kittens on top of my monitor. They make a nice trio and go well with the purple feather fan and pictures of Roni.
After i left work, i grabbed Roni and ran out to Sarah & Plaz Tekks' apartment to get Sarah and my little man ~ X. He is now 3 weeks old and the cutest baby in the world (tied with Andy Pooh, of course) and he still gets so happy when i hold him! He likes big boobs to sleep on. i only gave him up for his momma's dairy-duty and when i was making her try on clothes. We bought her an outfit and i taught her that, as a dairy, you have to find the right bra BEFORE you look at the clothes. Done. She bought 2 of them. Then we each got keychains of our two kids together and a mouse pad of just X. After that was the shoe trip. i didn't tell you the whole story on me & shoes. Sarah wanted Docs so we went to the shop and i just drooled. i was drooling more that the baby. More than the man there who was in love with the baby. i LOVE docs. i want the black & white wingtips and the ones on fire. Well, i want all of them, but those two most. we finally get her shoes and go to pick up Plaz at work. After he joined us we trekked to Friday's and ate. Then we stopped by my apartment to get clothes and one of my body pillows and ran to their place. Dropped off Plaz and the clothes. Then, at 1am, we went out to Bonehead's in Fort Worth and i got punctured! i finally got my tongue pierced and i am thrilled even though i can't eat much and drool a lot in my sleep. i have wanted to do this forever and now i have! Thank you Sarah! (She INSISTED that we do this immediately and that it was their birthday & Christmas present to me) She is personally responsible for 24 studded tongues, guys. She has had hers for 4 years now and loves it. i have zinc to take, a med. size bottle of Listerine, Motrin, apple sauce, chick broth, yogurt, and fruit juice. i am set. i am happy. i am one orally fixated girl with her OWN toy, so i don't need yours! HA! i WIN!
Saturday was lazy and nice. We woke up at noon and played with the baby for a while then ran home to get clothes and to my M&D's to wash them. i was supposed to go by Russ & Mary's to keep her company for a bit but all the lights were off so i figured she wasn't there and we went home to sleep. Now, today, i am at work from 7AM to 7PM. Wow! Ra just came in for 10 minutes! We cleaned out her office and she took care of a few things and as she was leaving, she gave me a cool new thing ~ peppermint Lix. They are tiny thin sheets of peppermints that dissolve on you tongue! She said she just saw them at Claire's and had to get them for me and Roni. FUN! We stood around for a minutes with a mirror watching them dissolve on our tongues and giggling. i just love my boss!
