i dreamt i saw you walking
up a hillside in the snow
casting shadows on the winter sky
as you stood there counting crows
one for sorrow, two for joy,
three for girls, and four for boys,
five for silver, six for gold, and
seven for a secret never to be told

there's a bird that nests inside you
sleeping underneath your skin
when you open up your wings to speak
i wish you'd let me in

Wow! This is great ~ three days in a row of Mr. Kat Man! Today we ran up to Wendy's for lunch and got to wander in the rain for a few moments and it was so lovely.

i love rain. Truly love it. i kept getting it in my eyes from lifting my face to it and letting it hit my face, but i didn't really care much about that or the fact that i now have a wet shirt and jacket and my hair was plastered to my head on top . . . i can't think of a better place to be right now than outside in the rain. i long to be out the dock of a lake listening to the rain hit tin and water and saturated ground. To see the dark gray clouds roll and boil and cover the sun and watch the lightning and feel the thunder as it shakes the earth . . . how can anything be greater? No relationship has ever created these feelings for me . . . i guess i have lived everything in a grand passionate manner but always trip at the finish and never get the full effect.

Analogy ~ all foreplay but no climax.

Anyways, beside the morbid meanderings of my mind, i am in a fantablously great mood today and i even got to play in the rain for a few!

i was in a fine state of nerves last night by the time i got to Sarah's to get Roni and since Mom is still in Idaho taking care of Gramma Jane, and i was really not feeling well, we watched The Birdcage, one of my favorite movies, and then want home to clean my apartment some more since the clean laundry was still in the Huge Beige Bin that is the first stop for clean clothes. Roni had gotten a washer/dryer (Christmas) to go with her kitchen and so the closet door has been blocked off for a few months and i had forgotten about some of the clothes in there . . . and some of the stuff i had at the bottom of the bin, too. After hanging up all the stuff and shoving the rest in the corresponding drawer, we went to bed. Roni falls asleep in the middle of her chapter every night . . . it's so cute! Her Daddy is the same way ~ he would keep a book by the bed in case he couldn't sleep and five minutes into even the most compelling story, he'd be passed out cold. i used to marvel at that since i have to read it ALL. i can't stop unless i am forced to. i'll stay up all night and get only 3 hours of sleep on a work night if i make the mistake of picking up a book too late. The only salvation was that i can finish a 500 page novel in 4.5 - 5 hours if i have no interruption. I have NEVER been able to fall asleep by reading, though and these people astound me.
