Today is an 'off' day. i don't know why but it is.
Monday had it's own brand of suckiness of 'bad me not doing laundry and getting stuck with a skirt and heels', but that was offset by a lovely visit from Mr. Kat Man who always brightens a girl's day. And then i went to my mom's after work to do some laundry and bake some cookies. i don't know why but i was probably overcome by the skirt and felt the need to bake. That and the triple chocolate cookie dough i ordered for my mother's day came in. My mom was happy with the cookies and i was happy with jeans today so it all worked out well.
Today the nice guy i have been eavesdropping on for the last few weeks finally spoke to me! His schedule for breaks coincides with the perfect times for me to go smoke so i happened to overhear a conversation one day that was pretty damn funny, so i had just sort of listened to the class he was in when they were out side after that. He was alone today and so we started talking about computers and image mapping (i was dabbling in some and it was initially frustrating me to no end) while we were both out there. And so i now have a new person to talk to since i think i can trust him not to expect professional favors ~ he seemed really cool.
(in case you are wondering, we try not to hang out and chat with agents too often as these casual friendships have caused problems with out judgement in the past ~ would YOU rather bend the rules a little or disappoint a 'friend'?)
i got a call today from Myste. These conversations always bring mixed feelings . . . i genuinely like her but i have to maintain a separation due to the fact that she is my ex's fianc�e and i know how much trouble it could cause to get too involved in her life and, therefore, his. Anyways, we talked a little and since school is out for Roni starting Friday, she offered to pick Roni up from school on Thursday and start the weekend early by just keeping her. i agreed as i know Roni has more to do there and i really hate to send her to Darth Mom's but i traded Wednesday off for Friday on at work.
Then we discussed the plans for this summer. Now, i was seriously disturbed by the thought of Roni spending her whole summer with Darth Mom and so was Myste, so we talked over the idea of Myste keeping her during the day and since she'll have Micah it worked out really well for all of us ~ two kids are easier than one since they amuse each other. There is one week Darth Mom asked for (vacation bible school with Sarah & Alexis) and a couple weeks in July when they will be moving, but Roni will be safe from the clutches of the Leader of the Dark Side of The Trailer Park!
Well, i have to get out of here, it's late and i have to pick up my baby girl.
