Freakiness of all freakinesses! i just got a call from Big Gay Al! He moved back up here from San Antonio for his job and is doing really great. He called me at work and asked if we wanted to come out with him, meet his son, and hang for a while. i guess that is cool and all, but i have to discuss with Angel the advisability of letting him see Roni again. i told him i would think on it, but as things stand right now, that would be right out. He thoroughly understands why and respects that ~ he just asked because he loves her to bits and they were so close when he was here before. He is so good with her ~ it's amazing.
Lately, i have been all thumbs when it comes to Roni. She used to be amused and play along even in my most acerbic moments, but now i can't even tell her something she did was funny or dumb or laugh about anything at all when she is in the room or she cries. (Or whines until i get mad and then cries.) She has ten times the emotion of a normal little prissy seven-year-old girl. i swear to you i think my daughter is turning into a drag queen!
Last night, the three of us went to a Mongolian Grill style restaurant and i loved it but Roni was not impressed AT ALL. After that, we ran to Wal-Mart for no good reason and i spent money i don't have there but my check comes in at midnight tonight so i am not too stressed out yet. i also sent Angel back to return some stuff when i noticed that the shirts i got Roni were long-sleeved and rethought a few other ideas. He is so wonderful to me. We also decided that Roni is going to be a pixy or sprite of some sort for Halloween and started buying the stuff to make her costume. She is going to look amazing when we're done with her! She'll be all silver and purple with wings and make-up and EVERYTHING! i'm actually excited about this costume, but please forgive me if i say it'll be over my dead body that it goes to her Dad's house since i just now got over the last really great costume i hand made that they demolished. i know it wasn't intentional, but . . . it was in pretty good shape after one year of wear plus a day at school and came back all torn up and dirty. i'll try to find a good pic of the costume since it was too cool and post it for you all to see!
