What would you give to getaway?

It's been a few days, i know, but not a lot has been going on. We are trying to catch up on bills and save money so we've not gone out or anything, so there's not a lot to tell. Work is still wild and busy and Roni is still being a needy princess.

We are trying to ignore her obnoxious attention sucking while giving her as much as we can when she is being good to hopefully reinforce the positive and treat the negative as inconsequential. Basically, i calmly ask her to remove herself and close the door until she can calm herself and apologize for her outburst. Then, if she is reasonably pleasant and sincere, we try to include her with out cheesy fanfare in whatever we are doing or discussing after thanking her for her apology. i think it's slowly working . . .

i was considering having a small gathering for my birthday, but i think i may scrap the plans that never got finished and just visit a couple people over the weekend.

i have a very long (4 day!) weekend after my birthday and i thought i'd just chill out and relax, work on Roni's costume some more, clean house, read some books and maybe work on some new D*Land templates i have promised to some people. If you want one but are too busy, just e-mail me with your general idea and maybe i'll be able to play with it for a while. i really need to stretch my mind and learn some new things so this is an excellent time and way to do so.

i choose what i wanted Mom to make for my dinner on Tuesday. And dessert. i get Chicken Perigord-Style with saut�ed green beans and mushrooms, Sour cream and chive mashed potatoes and for dessert it's a bittersweet chocolate cake with dark chocolate coating. After all the dinners i have gone over there and made for them i can't wait to let her make a nice one for me! i love to cook but i also love to have it cooked for me.
