i dreamt i saw you walking
up a hillside in the snow
casting shadows on the winter sky
as you stood there counting crows
one for sorrow, two for joy,
three for girls, and four for boys,
five for silver, six for gold, and
seven for a secret never to be told

there's a bird that nests inside you
sleeping underneath your skin
when you open up your wings to speak
i wish you'd let me in

We Come One

Wow.

Last night was odd.

Liv called me and said she was taking Kowboy on a tour of Ghetto Prairie and showing him the growing up sites, etc, and i agreed to go with. They show up and we leave, heading out to where i'm sorta from (seventh grade though 21).

After we saw all the sites we could possibly see and took pics of many of them, we headed over to Drew's to pick him up for dinner. (i was going to bail then, but Liv insisted i go and so did Angel.) After dinner Liv was supposed to see her friend, Jake, who lives off Lower Greenville, and it turns out that Drew was taking us to Lower Greenville to eat at Thai Thai (oh, YUM!!!!), so we all ended up over at Jake's drinking beer, talking and making a list of One Hundred Terms For the Penis. This was amazing fun but slightly disturbing as we tried a list for women ~ they were almost all derogatory terms . . . AND we could only think of about fifteen!

Long story short too late ~ what was going to be a drive until 6 turned into me shuffling in at three AM exhausted with a smoke headache, but i had a GREAT time.

i only get to see Liv every three years of so since she lives in Maine and never was fond of this state, so i couldn't help but want to spend as much time as possible with her.

"Tarantula" ~ Faithless
"Down in the shadows of your deepest secrets
I sleep next to the precepts you hold most dear
Your heart is in my province hour upon hour
I shiver when you feel the cold,
Everything you say I hear
Like a bomb and its fuse,
We bring bright light
But I could be a devil to you
I could bite like a tarantula
Right through the skin
And leave my poison dream

Deliciously Unsuspecting
Protecting you from all harm
Except perhaps from reasoning
