i dreamt i saw you walking
up a hillside in the snow
casting shadows on the winter sky
as you stood there counting crows
one for sorrow, two for joy,
three for girls, and four for boys,
five for silver, six for gold, and
seven for a secret never to be told

there's a bird that nests inside you
sleeping underneath your skin
when you open up your wings to speak
i wish you'd let me in

Wheeeee . . . the first REAL day with my new team.

i started out the day a little earlier than i wanted as Angel doesn't really wake up to his alarm and insists on setting it much too early. When it goes off, i wake up and shove him out of bed. He then stumbles over to the alarm and turns it off. Next he wanders around the bedroom bumping into stuff, opening the squeaky closet door, opening and shutting drawers, and sitting on the bed only to wiggle. if i do manage to get back to sleep after all this, my alarms going to go off in a few minutes anyways.

Someone please explain to me why he has to play on his computer for an hour before leaving for work and feels the need to get there 45 minutes early?

Well, i left to drop Ronica off at school by 7:30 and then sped off to work at my new, earlier schedule . . . only to find that no one in Texas knows how to drive if the ground is damp. It's like these people have never seen water before. i spent 30 minutes creeping along one 3 mile stretch that i usually take doing 70 and fly through in about than 30 seconds. it was very frustrating, to say the least. i called in to work since it looked like it was going to go on forever and the radio said the other freeway i was going to merge onto was already backed up. Funny, the one that WAS reported was NOT backed up, but the one i was stuck on was never mentioned a single time. All-in-all, i got there and got all signed in only five minutes late so i stayed five minutes late and thus it was 'flexed' and dismissed.

Otherwise the day was boring and the system crashed suddenly and we didn't quite get the calls we were looking for the rest of the afternoon. i have a personal idea of WHY the system crashed. See, we have had a message playing on our 'bulletins' telling us that activations cannot be done on the website for about a week now and then the system crashes suddenly and when it comes back up the messages changed to an 'all clear' for website activations. My only question is did they hire monkeys, five-year-olds, or jocks to handle their system maintenance or was it possibly a combo? Maybe a five-year-old jock chimp? if i ever quit, that, right there is why. i just can't stand that the system is so very touchy and fails all the time.

Tonight, we all had dinner at Olive Garden, and yes, that includes Almenda. It was nice, but i don't think we'll go back with Ronica.

Now that Roni is in bed and Angel in the bathroom for his nightly hour of privacy and self-absorption, i am listening to "Blasphemous Rumors" and "Question of Lust" by Depeche Mode and feeling the tears prick as i look back on the times these songs meant so very much to me and the person i shared those times with . . . i miss her like dying sometimes. Other times i just feel like an amputee - it feels like it's still there and sometimes i absentmindedly scratch it, but it throws me off balance.

Ok, i am pigging out on Depeche Mode in a big way and feeling very nostalgic here, so i will let you go and leave you with what i started my day with . . .
