i dreamt i saw you walking
up a hillside in the snow
casting shadows on the winter sky
as you stood there counting crows
one for sorrow, two for joy,
three for girls, and four for boys,
five for silver, six for gold, and
seven for a secret never to be told

there's a bird that nests inside you
sleeping underneath your skin
when you open up your wings to speak
i wish you'd let me in

from "a murder of one" ~ counting crows
i'm sorry for such silence

Last Sunday this was "impossible"

Tuesday, it happened.

the word "war" is right there, sneaking in every so often.

i was trying to learn how to feel safe in my head, heart and skin,
but now i have to worry about being safe in my own country.

The country that has kicked the ass of and rebuilt almost everyone who has gone up against them,
including our 'parent' country!

i'll write more later . . .

hey, i love you and you all know who you are.

Thomas Paine once wrote
"These are the times that try men's souls...
Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered:
yet we have this consolation with us,
that the harder the conflict,
the more glorious the triumph.
