i dreamt i saw you walking
up a hillside in the snow
casting shadows on the winter sky
as you stood there counting crows
one for sorrow, two for joy,
three for girls, and four for boys,
five for silver, six for gold, and
seven for a secret never to be told

there's a bird that nests inside you
sleeping underneath your skin
when you open up your wings to speak
i wish you'd let me in

hola!

i forget nowadays that this little box is here, waiting, forgiving all sins . . . or at least listening to me clickety-clack them all out on my keyboard.

life is tripping along slowly, things come and go, problems arise, problems are solved and friends are either calling or they are not.

the Rat Pack is surprisingly great - Timmay & Charlie are Wonder Twins, Mann is adorable, Ben is so gay, and John is a sweet guy but a party foul just looking for a place to happen. Christie is new but wonderful and Mary mixes well with our boys. Even The Ronica has bonded with them and seems to be the only one that can still beat anyone at Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance.

The Tick is turning out to be a really great friend. we seem to both be working through our Relationship Trial By Fire right now and though the everyday conversations are awesome, the real discussions are . . . i dunno. i haven't been this comfortable talking to someone in years. it's very wonderful to have him about.

Mary's life is calming down a bit, as is mine and Angel's. The Ronica's birthday went well and so did thanksgiving. i brought the turkey and stuffing and everyone told me it was great.

Work is weird - Angel seems to love his job and i hate mine. i am being 'tried out' for a week in a different position working with a group of people who 'audit' bills and correct headaches. it'll be fun.

that's all, really, i'm tired and want to go to bed. mandatory overtime is kicking my ass. so much for days off.
