i dreamt i saw you walking
up a hillside in the snow
casting shadows on the winter sky
as you stood there counting crows
one for sorrow, two for joy,
three for girls, and four for boys,
five for silver, six for gold, and
seven for a secret never to be told

there's a bird that nests inside you
sleeping underneath your skin
when you open up your wings to speak
i wish you'd let me in

***it's mine!! miiiiiiine! FREEEEEEEEEDOOOOOOOM!!!!

So i have been hopelessly distracted by pretty badges and ranks and i forgot to update, hoping that you could all read my mind here in my beauteous book. then, today, i realized that you couldn't.

i got the job at Verizon Superpages dot com!!!! i will now be working during normal hours and have Saturday and Sunday off!!! i need to cut my hair and buy some clothes and shoes!!!

That last one fell a bit flat.

i have dispersed all the really good info i have gathered to some people i like and told only a few that i adore what is going on. i have sent the e-mail out with my address and numbers to the four i will (hopefully) not have to miss. i have sent home my personal e-mails, and printed all my kudos. i have cleaned my notebook out and thrown away all the proprietary info/documents.

i'm excited and sad at the same time.

i have been mostly busy working and going to interviews on my days off so there isn't much to tell about my last week. the highlights were that on Wednesday i spent the day with Myste and the boys. we played and cleaned all day. we had a blast when i took the covers off all the couch cushions and washed them. We had all the naked pillowy blobs thrown on the living room floor and we wrestled on them for an hour.

There is something so awesome about that house. it's alive with laughing, screaming, playing, messy, crazy kids and it's wonderful. Micah is so serious sometimes but very smart and imaginative. he is so cute, like a funny little man, all angles and planes like his sister. Jacob is rosy and round, built like his dad, sturdy and strong with a heart stopping grin. they are nonstop energy all day long playing, dancing, running, laughing, crying, singing and generally zooming all over the place. i have a theory that if you somehow forced them to sit still you would actually be able to see them grow. for all that, there is little in life as cute and funny as a slippery naked bathtub escapee running with his cape/towel dodging and weaving through the house on his tiptoes laughing and giggling as his big sister tries to chase him down.

Friday i got out early and went to pick up The Ronica over at Myste's and stayed for a few hours playing with kids and talking to Myste. the kids all went outside so we could vacuum and relax for a few and had to be bathed when they came in because they'd run through the hose. we three snuck out right after we got them out of the tub. We dropped The Ronica off at my Mom's and visited for a short while and then ended up closing down Logan's while we drank out tea and talked all night. we finally left there at 11:30 and went to my house to watch Pieces of April and then i drove her home. We stopped at the gas station on the way home and had a freaky encounter with a scary guy who asked if he could wash our windows. he got really tense suddenly when i said no but then walked away and rode off in some other guy's car.

Tonight, i am excited to say, i am preparing for a nice long four day weekend! then i work Thursday and Friday and i'm off for two more days before i start the new job on the 6th of June.
