i dreamt i saw you walking
up a hillside in the snow
casting shadows on the winter sky
as you stood there counting crows
one for sorrow, two for joy,
three for girls, and four for boys,
five for silver, six for gold, and
seven for a secret never to be told

there's a bird that nests inside you
sleeping underneath your skin
when you open up your wings to speak
i wish you'd let me in

Angel is the Soup SS

Saturday was my Dad's birthday so i spent most of the day with him. i got to the house a little late as i was trapped in a dream that would not let me out - it even let me call Mom and tell her i was oversleeping and would be there late! i thought it was just the dream, but we asked later and she verified that i did call her . . . i was apparently babysitting a pair of wild little boys and had taken them to a Jackson Browne concert/fair thing. it was really weird. We met Jackson Browne and hung out with him for a while and got great seats for the concert all because i have been a fan forever and met him looking for a bathroom for the boys who were cute as buttons and won him over so we were cooling it in his private suite for a little bit.

Yeah, that's what i said.

Oh, well, the day was supposed to be my 'Monday' and i was off work for this, so i was happy. i worked to get everything ready for Dad's party and then worked the party and later sat down with a nice glass of Glenfidditch and chatted with an old friend who, when i was a very young girl, i thought i'd grow up and marry one day. Regardless of the fact that he's 30+ years older than i am . . . he liked my baking.

After we left there, Angel and i went to The Movie Tavern and watched Knockaround Guys. It was awesome. i have a deep and abiding love of all things Malkovitch, especially one specimen named John. He is so utterly crazed and wonderful and incredibly sexy i could only compare my adoration for him with the one i have for Angelina Jolie. Yes, its that bad. Anyways, the movie is great. i was expecting one thing and it turns out to NOT be just another formulaic gansta movie. It threw it all out the window and started with people and relationships. Not in some sappy fashion, either. And after you see where the train is going, you think it'll arrive at the station on time and you can all look at each other and smile at the clich, right? Well, WRONG! It takes a boat and goes to another COUNTRY! All in all, what i'm trying to dance around here is that this is good and you really ought to go see it in a theatre. It is a theatre movie and worth every dime. And by the way - it's a GUY movie.

When we got back home, i played with an idea i'd had that would not die and made a new pretty template that i love. Don't know who it is for, but i like it!

Today was back to work and pedantic work at that. i was bored to tears. Literally. Well, when i sneeze, i yawn; when i yawn, my eyes tear up . . . so, it was CLOSE to tears!

Now Roni is home and bathed and we are feeding her the dinner she didn't have before she was dropped off at 9pm without shoes on and wearing the same (now grubby) clothes she left in. Now i'm glad i tell her to wear something she hates and doesn't want to wear to school. All her clothes here are nice, but it's easier to take her clothes getting stained and ruined when she doesn't want to wear them anyways.

Well, ni ni, my pets!

"Hello, i Love You" ~ The Doors
"She holds her head so high
like a statue in the sky
her arms are wicked and her legs are long.
When she moves, my brain screams out this song.

Sidewalk crouches at her feet
like a dog that begs for something sweet.
Do you hope to make her see, you fool?
Do you hope to pluck this dusky jewel?
