i dreamt i saw you walking
up a hillside in the snow
casting shadows on the winter sky
as you stood there counting crows
one for sorrow, two for joy,
three for girls, and four for boys,
five for silver, six for gold, and
seven for a secret never to be told

there's a bird that nests inside you
sleeping underneath your skin
when you open up your wings to speak
i wish you'd let me in

"Give before you take"

i love oldies. Music is something i feel a strange connection to and love for and oldies are so innocent and so idealistic and upbeat than it is now. i have quoted some oldies now and again but today i want to throw out a little more. There is a station here called KLUV (98.7, i think) and i dare anyone here to turn it on for an hour and not hear a song that reminds you of something good or makes you smile. It's a nice break sometimes to look far behind us at where we came from (or our parents, whatever.) and it can make you giggle like a kid to hear some of those old funny songs.

and I'll pray there ain't no hell
but I'll never know by livin'
only my dyin' will tell
