i dreamt i saw you walking
up a hillside in the snow
casting shadows on the winter sky
as you stood there counting crows
one for sorrow, two for joy,
three for girls, and four for boys,
five for silver, six for gold, and
seven for a secret never to be told

there's a bird that nests inside you
sleeping underneath your skin
when you open up your wings to speak
i wish you'd let me in

from "a murder of one" ~ counting crows
hibernation and "Yaaaaarrrrr!"

so it wasn't what i intended, but i spent my thrill-packed weekend sleeping and playing Tradewinds 2. i slept from 1am Saturday morning until 6pm, played online until 10am Sunday and got back up at 6pm and beat the game at 3am. i slept from 4am to 6am when the cat just couldn't get along another 5 minutes without my love. She woke me before the alarm.
i really enjoyed the game - it was a little simple in the story version, i'd love to see an expanded release that lets you choose your adventure a bit more. as it stands, once you ask about a job you can't back out of it and the whole story line is planned out from there until that job is done. you still decide what to buy & sell and when ship & weapons you need along with the next port you want to head to, however, frequently, you will suffer the slings and arrows of outragous fortune and be detoured.
all in all, though, it was just frustrating enouh to make it fun - like a challenge. and i got to speak like a pirate!
