This whole weekend was so jacked up but i think it *WILL* all turn out ok.

Angel finally calmed down and stopped yelling and Mary stopped crying so much and our friend's wife got the proof together and got out of jail.

We had a pity party complete with two kinds of ice-cream, magic shell, Reece's Pieces, and Boys on the Side. we all snuggled together and had a great cry.

Today Mary and i went to La Madeleine for a brunch and then drove about aimlessly until she dropped me off. i loved on Angel for a while and then he left to go resolve an issue we were having with The Ronica.

when he got back we ate breakfast for dinner because i made eggs, bacon, flaky layer biscuits, and pan gravy that only Angel really eats. i guess it works out ok because he won't eat the eggs.

oh, i forgot, i was going to tell you a few days ago about Angel's Mexican side! see, his mother's side is neurotic white people and his father's side is the crazy Mexicans. when he was little and had is ethnic background explained he was not exactly clear on what the half-n-half meant and how that worked so his little five-year-old mind tried to work it out. as anyone who has ever had a kid in a car seat, you never move the damn thing because it's such a pain, and later, the kid usually still sits on the same side of the backseat out of habit, right? in this case he did and so one day, from the back seat, his mother heard his excited voice telling her that he found his Mexican side. when she turns to see what he was talking about he showed her that one arm was darker than the other (from being by the window, of course) and explained that this was "his Mexican side"! kids are so damn cute!
