i dreamt i saw you walking
up a hillside in the snow
casting shadows on the winter sky
as you stood there counting crows
one for sorrow, two for joy,
three for girls, and four for boys,
five for silver, six for gold, and
seven for a secret never to be told

there's a bird that nests inside you
sleeping underneath your skin
when you open up your wings to speak
i wish you'd let me in

from "a murder of one" ~ counting crows
Thursday was so lovely!

Ok, i know, i'm a lazy bum . . . blah, blah, blah . . .

i've sat down to type in this little box so many times with no idea how i'd gotten here or why i thought there was something to say. i don't know what is going on with me . . . i just don't have a lot to say right now.

Well, Thursday i went to the concert and it was awesome in such a big way i was excited-happier than i'd been in a long time. It was almost bad enough to send me into 'panic attacks' but only because i was alternating between hyperventilating and holding my breath.

i wanted to leave early and get to the Bronco Bowl kinda early as there is a Sonic right by it and we could have good parking then walked to Sonic for dinner but both Angel and Gloria were slow so we left late. We sat in some nasty traffic on the off ramp but not as bad as the time i was there for the DJ Dara show i went to, but almost. Anyways, we get in and get into the stadium after Evamore was up but then, i'm not a huge Evamore fan as the one song, "30 Day Hump" is so damn irritating i can't stand it. We find some seats [finally!] and get comfy by the time they get the last two songs out.

Next up was Sum 41 and they were spastic, high energy, freaks who stormed the stage and owned it for their whole set. They were very impressive.

Then, Good Charlotte hit the stage. There was DRAMA. Good Charlotte was supposed to be second but half the band was stuck in DC due to the snow-grounded plane and then half the equipment failed during setup [most were inexplicably broken] and by the time they got some borrowed and rigged stuff set up and hit the stage they had only enough time to do a few songs but they made it worth the effort and kicked some major ass out there. The crowd seemed to be made up suddenly of a few thousand Good Charlotte fans who 'had been patient long enough' and they were PISSED THE FUCK OFF that their band had to cut short.

That's when things started flying. i guess it was only the Bronco Bowl's fault as they sell beer and mixed drinks there.

FINALLY!!!! Everclear took center stage and made my life almost complete. i am now in love with the best friend i've got and get to sleep beside him every night, have a great kid, and i've seen Elton and Art live!!!!!!!! i was so in a state of bliss it was hard to do anything but stand there, sway, dance a bit and sing my heart back into the songs while the band played on. Art even sent Craig back to get Benji from Good Charlotte during "Strawberry" so he could sing it with them and calm the fans down a little. It was so insane how great he was even with people throwing things on stage and all. He was so open and real to the audience and got them involved, not pumped up. i could go on like this for days and now you know my little secret: i'm a rabid Everclear fan. Down to the core of me where the music touches and stirs my soul. Love, love love love love! i'd even draw the 'o's as little hearts if i could . . . i know, it's sick.

After Everclear, i just sat there dazed and in a cloud of happiness and missed a good bit of 3 Doors Down but when i started paying some attention it was too much. i like the songs i have heard but to hear new ones in concert and have them sound as polished and perfect as the radio turned me off so we wandered about with the 'pornoculars' as Gloria called them and looked at people and then ot us a good seat in the Canyon Club for the after party featuring The Donnas who kicked some ass and had the cutest damn little tiny drummer girl i have ever seen! she was so adorable and petite but was thoroughly thrashing that drum set with her long blonde curls flying like some cute Animal impressionist. i was giddy!

all in all it was a great night and we stopped at Jack-N-The-B-Jeezus-Fish on the way home.

i'll tell ya 'bout Friday through today but do so tomorrow, luvs!

By the way - no one gets a template unless they give me a diary page link or an e-mail! i need to be able to get back to you, sillies!
